Capacity: 20 ppl
Instructor: Vic Tesolin
Dovetail joints are a hallmark of fine woodworking, valued for their strength and craftsmanship. This beginner-friendly course is designed to introduce you to the process of cutting dovetails using a combination of hand tools, a trim router, and a bandsaw.
Through detailed demonstrations and expert instruction, you’ll learn the essential steps for laying out, cutting, and refining dovetails. Hand tools will still be used in this approach, but they will be in a supporting role.
This course will also cover tool selection, sharpening, and setup, ensuring you understand how to get the best results from each method. Along the way, we’ll discuss common mistakes, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices for achieving clean, gap-free joints.
